This article includes the steps below to change the Elo Desktop Background on your Elo device.

Method #1

1. Go to C:\Windows\System32

2. Find the file gpedit right click on it and choose Run as Administrator



3. In the left pane under User Configuration, go to Administrative Templates - Desktop - Desktop



4. In the right pane find Desktop Wallpaper right click on it and choose edit and change the setting to disabled and then click on Apply then click on OK



5. After doing the above RESTART the computer.

6. After restarting, you should be able to go into the Windows Personalize settings and change the desktop background to something else.

Method #2

Some customers have been successful changing the desktop background by following the below steps:

1. Enter the system registry editor by typing regedit into the Windows search box and hit enter.

2. Go to: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\System

3. From the right pane, right-click the Wallpaper string and click Delete from the context menu

4. Restart the computer.
