This article provides steps for turning off Wi-Fi on Elo Android devices in order to use Ethernet only.

Some customers wish to disable or turn off the Wi-Fi adapter on their Elo Android devices (Backpack, I-Series) and only use Ethernet. See below for how to do this on the device side and on the EloView cloud side.

Disabling Wi-Fi on the Device Side

1. Open the Android Settings (gear icon)

2. Open Network & Internet

3. On the Wi-Fi section, slide the switch to the off (left) position to disable Wi-Fi

• Ethernet will now be the default internet source.

Disabling Wi-Fi on the Cloud Side

1. Sign in to EloView www.eloview.com 

2. Open the device Settings tab

3. Slide the Wi-Fi switch to DISABLED

4. Click on Apply to save the settings.

5. You will receive a "Device Offline" message and after a few seconds the device will come back online using the Ethernet connection.
