To disable Emojis, Stickers and Gifs from the virtual keyboard on an Android 4.0 unit follow the below steps.

1. Go to the Settings->SystemLanguages & InputVirtual Keyboard

2. Go to Gboard

3. Go to Emojis, Stickers, Gifs

4. Under Suggestions while typing disable both Emojis and Stickers
