This article addresses an issue with some I-Series 3.0 Value devices showing the incorrect storage capacity.

Some i-Series 3.0 value models may have incorrect storage capacity calculation. Instead of showing 16 GB it shows 8 GB. This is a known Google Android bug. 

Below shows parts that are affected:

• E461993 - I-Series 3.0 10.1" Value
• E462384 - I-Series 3.0 15.6" Value
• E901355 - I-Series BackPack

Screenshot below is an example from an i-Series 10-inch Value unit.



Corrective Action

1. Although there is no "work-around" this issue is does not affect the actual storage capacity - it only appears incorrect. You can still use full 16GBs of storage.

2. A permanent fix for this issue will be implemented into a new Android 8.1 BSP OTA EloView image to be released within the next couple of months. Please check back with this KB for updates.
