This article provides the BIOS firmware update procedure for the EloPOS Pack
Files Needed
EloPOS Pack BIOS Update from the Downloads section of Elo website (Latest BIOS firmware at the time of this writing is MC123I0E.00S) Download the .zip file to a location on the computer and unzip.
Steps
1. Power on the EloPOS Pack and press DEL key (or tap the SETUP icon in upper right area of screesn) to enter BIOS.
2. Check current BIOS version by going to Main tab BIOS Version
- If BIOS version is already at latest revision there is no need to update.
3. If BIOS needs updated, select Chipset ME Configuration ME FW Update, and change the setting to “Enabled”
4. Go to Save & Exit Save Changes and Reset then Yes to reboot system into windows
5. In EloPOS Pack Windows system, open the folder where you saved the BIOS files, go to the Windows folder and execute the “Flash.cmd” to run the BIOS update
- NOTE: The files must be unzipped (extracted) before running Flash.cmd, otherwise, file will not run.
6. The update will automatically run (this may take up to 5-minutes. Do not interrupt). When the update completes, the CMD window will close.
7. Restart the system and press the DEL key (or tap the SETUP icon in upper right area of screen) to enter BIOS
- NOTE: The below American Megatrends screen may appear, if so, press the DEL key on a connected keyboard or tap the Setup option to enter BIOS, then proceed with Step 8
8. Go to Save & Exit Restore Defaults
9. Select Save & Exit Save Changes and Reset then Yes to reboot system back into Windows.
