This article provides instruction on how to remove and replace the Memory Module (RAM) and SSD on the EloPOS Pack Computer
1. Slide the lock to the "Unlocked" position and remove metal mounting plate by sliding it forward.
2. Remove two screws on side of EloPOS Pack.
3. From connector side of unit, push plastic tabs outward and carefully lift up on both sides.
4. Push plastic cover forward and up to remove.
5. Remove 9 screws from metal case; 3 on top, 3 on left side, 3 on right side and lift off metal cover.
6. Access to RAM and SSD will be clearly visible.
7. To replace RAM, remove existing memory module and replace with new memory module.
- NOTE: To avoid non-boot issues, do not mix memory module manufacturers, brands, or sizes. Use same memory modules if upgrading with additional memory.
8. To remove SSD, remove screw and remove existing SSD and replace with new SSD. (If replacing SSD you will need to install an Operating System - if no OS is installed the computer will BOOT to the BIOS screen only)
9. Reassemble all parts in reverse of how they were removed.
10. On initial boot up, EloPOS Pack may emit a series of beeps while it auto provisions the new RAM - this is normal behavior.

The EloPOS Pack devices are intended to be field upgradeable. Upgrading RAM will not void the warranty unless damage is to the product occurs during the process
