This article provides the direct programming barcode to switch the Zebra SE2707 2D Barcode Scan Engine (integrated on select Elo touchcomputers, POS terminals, and peripheral edge modules) into USB HID Keyboard Emulation Mode.
In HID Keyboard Emulation mode, decoded barcode data is transmitted directly into the active text cursor field as standard keyboard keystrokes, eliminating the need for specialized serial/COM port wedge drivers.
Configuration Programming Barcode
Aim the SE2707 scanner at the programming barcode below and trigger the scan beam until you hear the confirmation decode beep:
Testing & Custom Programming
- Verify Operation: Open a text editor (e.g., Windows Notepad) and scan any standard 1D or 2D test barcode. The decoded alphanumeric data should appear instantly in Notepad.
