This article describes why Elo/Zebra Barcode Scanners May Show a Plugin Error in Zebra 123Scan
Some Elo barcode scanners that use a Zebra decoder board may display a plugin error when connected to Zebra’s 123Scan Utility.
Important: This occurs because the decoder board in these scanners is a custom Elo design. Zebra does not provide a standard plugin for this hardware in the 123Scan software.
How to Program Your Scanner Since a standard plugin is not available, these scanners must be programmed using a custom barcode.
