This article describes how to manually uninstall the Windows NT v3.1c driver
NOTE: Windows NT is no longer supported by Microsoft or Elo Touch Solutions.
Deleting the Windows NT Driver Manually
Browse your system
- Right-click the Start button and select Explore
Open the WinNT folder
- Double-click the WinNT folder to open it
Open the System32 subfolder under the WinNT folder
- Locate the elocal32.exe file and delete it
- The files are in alphabetical order
- Click the file and press the DEL key to delete the file
- If the extension (.exe) is not shown, just delete the eclocal32 file
- This applies to all file references below
- Locate the monmouse.cpl file and delete it
Open the Drivers subfolder under the WinNT\System32 subfolder
- Locate the monmouse.sys file and delete it
- Locate the mmstub.sys file and delete it
Close the Windows Explorer window
Run the Registry Editor
- Click Start
- Click Run
- Enter regedit in the Run field and press the ENTER key
Drill down to the Monmouse key by double-clicking the following:
- HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE
- System
- CurrentControlSet
- Services
- MonMouse
- Services
- CurrentControlSet
- System
Delete MonMouse and all its subkeys
- Highlight MonMouse
- Press the Delete key
- Confirm
Close the Registry Editor
Reboot the machine
