When connecting the Elo Edge Connect™ 2D Barcode Scanner (P/N: E384627) to a PC and launching the Zebra 123Scan Configuration Utility, users may expect the device to appear labeled as "SE4720" or by its Elo part number.
Because the SE4720 scan engine is integrated with Zebra's PL5000 hardware decoder board, the 123Scan utility enumerates and displays the scanner under the decoder hardware family name: PL5000-COMMON MODEL.

This is normal expected behavior. To configure symbologies, modify data formatting rules, or update engine firmware, select PL5000-COMMON MODEL from the discovered device list:
