How do I setup my 2D scanner in virtual comport emulation mode?

For Elo's Edge Connect™ Barcode Scanners integrated with Zebra scan engines, you can setup virtual comport mode using USB CDC Host Mode.

Supported Barcode Scanners: 

• SE2707 - E393160
• SE4720 - E384627
• SE4107 - E245047

Setup for Windows 10 computers:

1. Scan the below USB-CDC Host Bar Code (Bar Code is also attached to this article)


2. The scanner will emit a series of beeps and Windows may pop-up a message stating it is installing a USB device.

3. When Windows completes the installation you can go into Device Manager and find the newly created COMPORT.



4. The process is complete and you can now setup your POS to interface with the new COMPORT.
