Can the Elo Edge Connect™ 2D Barcode Scanner (Gen 2)(E393160) be used for passport scanning?

The Elo Edge Connect™ 2D Barcode Scanner (Gen 2) P/N: E393160 which uses the Zebra SE2707 scan engine, is not capable of parsing the machine readable zone on passports.
