This article discusses the best touch technology to use when operating with thick, heavy gloves. 

Using heavy gloves such as leather or thick cloth requires a touch technology which does not rely upon capacitance or surface acoustic waves.

Technologies that are suitable for these cases are the AccuTouch 5-Wire Resistive products and IR InfraRed products. 



Heavy gloves generally will not work with Elo's PCAP projective capacitive products, or IntelliTouch surface acoustic wave products due to the nature of those touch technologies. Please see our Knowledge Base article HERE.
