This article explains how to get the 2D barcode scanner to work within an application

For the 2D barcode reader (SE2707), the default interface setting is "Symbol Native API (SNAPI) with Imaging Interface."  If you are unable to scan a barcode within your application, you may need to switch to a different interface type, such as keyboard mode.  

To switch interface types, you have two options:

1. Download and install this utility to configure the barcode reader, which uses a Zebra scanning engine.

2. Scan a quick programming code to switch between interfaces outside of the utility.
