This article explains Device Modularity in EloView 3 - Core, Connect, and Control
Device Modularity is designed to give EloView users the flexibility to choose the features they need and want for their specific project. There are 3 choices (device modes) available to choose from. Prices are based upon the modes selected per device via a simple and friendly interface. The modes available are Core, Connect and Control. Each device mode is represented by a unique colored icon next to each device on the Devices page. Adjustments to Device Modes can be made at the Device, Group, and Filter levels as well as on the Settings page under Accounts Settings.
Core: Designed to allow users to stage and provision their devices during the first 7 days after switching to Core Device Mode. Core Mode also includes the ability to apply EloView software updates to the devices from the device control panel. After 7 days, the devices will no longer communicate with the EloView Cloud. Devices in Core mode will need to be Enterprise Reset from the Device Control Panel to be used in Connect or Control Mode.
Connect: Designed to allow users to stage and provision their devices while providing limited access to the EloView Portal for device management in an Android Home environment. Connect Mode also includes the ability to apply EloView software updates from the portal and remotely install apps to the device. This mode does not include EloView’s Kiosk Mode for content management.
Control: Designed to allow full access to all of EloView’s robust features, including Kiosk Mode, Content Management, Device Management and Content Scheduling. This mode provides the user the freedom to make changes and adjustments to their full deployment of devices whenever needed, without restrictions.
