This article describes how to create a new scanner profile on the Elo M50 by using the ScanConfig app.

The ScanConfig app included with Elo M50 enables control of the built-in scanner.

Instructions:

1. Launch the ScanConfig app from the Application home screen.



2. Click the gear icon to access the settings.



3. Click plus sign to start creating a new profile.



4. Enter a name for the new profile and then click save.



5. Go back to settings by clicking the gear icon.



6. Click the newly created profile.



7. Click Output Settings.



8. Review the Output Settings requirements, and then click the back arrow to return.



9. Click Input Settings.



10. Click Select Decoder Formats.



11. Review the Decoder Formats requirements, and then click the back arrow twice to return.



12. Click Formatting Settings.



13. Review the Format Settings requirements, and then click the back arrow to return.



14. Click Apply to Apps.



15. Assign the profile to the required apps, and then click the back arrow three times to return.



16. Select the newly created profile name to verify profile settings and scan a barcode.
