This article provides instructions on how to configure key remap on M50/M60 devices

The Key Remap applications allows you to program the left and right function buttons from controlling the device volume, barcode reader trigger and other hardware buttons on the Elo M50/M60 Mobile Computers.

General Configuration
To modify the settings, enter Android Settings → Elo settings → Key Remap

The list of available options include:

• HOME
• BACK
• VOLUME_UP
• VOLUME_DOWN
• BRIGHTNESS_UP
• BRIGHTNESS_DOWN
• Scanner trigger L1
• Scanner trigger R1

AirWatch: Configuring Key Remap with OEMConfig
To modify the settings, edit the OEMConfig app (Resources → Apps → Public → OEMConfig app) to activate or deactivate the policies. From the Assignments tab, select Assign. Edit the Application Configuration to configure the OEM settings for the OEMConfig application.

Under Hardware Management, select Configure. In the key remap fields, type in the desired key to remap. The list of available options are found on directly on the device. The text is case sensitive.



The key mapping will apply on the next OEMConfig sync. No reboot required for this change.



EloView: Configuring Key Remap
After completing the general instructions for modifying key remap under Android Settings, the next step involves exporting (uploading) the configuration to EloView. Enter Quick Settings → Settings  → Elo Settings  → Export Key-Remap, then provide a profile name for the key remap.

After exporting the key remap profile, go to EloView → Device →  Device Settings →  Device Key Remap to select.
