This article explains the process of updating Android 10 Value devices to Android 12

SCOPE: This procedure applies to those who would like to upgrade their Elo Android 4.0 Value devices from Android 10 to Android 12. This procedure will only need to be necessary for Android 12 users for release MR-1 to MR-4. After MR-4 disregard these steps. 

It is imperative that these steps are followed until MR-4 is released and installed on devices as some users have reported critical issues during the OTA process. Current ETA for MR-4 is November 2023. 

1)    Login into EloView account and select 4.0 Value that you are wanting to update to Android 12.

2)    Click on the GMS Settings tab. This will show you what GMS mode your device is in. NOTE: if your device has “GMS Enabled” or “AOSP” selected, then no further action is required


3)    For this update to occur device will need to be GMS Enabled. Click Edit on the right-hand side to make this change. Once Edit was clicked select the button beside GMS Enabled then apply.

 
4)    GMS Mode should now show GMS Enabled if completed correctly. 
5)    Device is now ready to install Android 12, MR-1 to MR-4 updates. 
6)    Once update has been completed follow steps 2 to 4 to make changes back to GMS Restricted.
