This article will guide you through the process of deploying a file on Elo Android devices using the Workspace ONE website console

By following these steps, you will learn how to upload the file, create a product for deployment, and verify the successful installation of the file on your Android device. Note that creating a device group or smart group for the deployment is not covered in this guide. This example details the instructions for deploying the secure processor firmware for Elo payment devices.

1. Open your web browser and navigate to your Workspace ONE console URL. Enter admin credentials to log in.
2. From the main dashboard, select 'Devices'.
3. In the Devices menu, select 'Provisioning'.
4. Within the Provisioning section, select 'Components'.
5. Click on 'Files/Actions' under Components. Select 'Add Files/Actions'. Choose 'Android' and fill in the necessary details for the files/actions, such as the name "Secure Processor Firmware" and description.

6. Under the 'Files' tab, click 'Add Files'. Upload the file 'QE1000_new.uld' from your computer. Set the download path as '/sdcard/Download/QE1000_new.uld' and then click Save. When you're ready to move to the next section, click Save to save the Files/Actions configuration wizard. Note that you can deploy files to any existing directory within the /sdcard/ path, and if the folder does not already exist, it will be created automatically.

7. Go back to the 'Provisioning' section and select 'Product List View'. Click on 'Add Product' and choose 'Android'. Fill in the necessary details for the product, such as the name "Deploying Secure Processor Firmware" and description. Note that creating a Smart Group is not covered in these instructions but is required for assigning the deployment to your devices.

8. Under the 'Manifest' tab, click 'Add'. Select 'File/Actions - Install', and then select the previously created Files/Actions item named 'Secure Processor Firmware' that contains the uploaded 'QE1000_new.uld' file. Save the Manifest.

9. When you're finish with the Product configuration wizard, click 'Save' or click 'Activate' to make the product available for deployment.
10. Go back to the 'Product List View' section and monitor the deployment watching for changes to the In Progress and Failed status.
11. On the Elo Android device, use the Files app to navigate to /M60C-Pay/Download/. Confirm that the file QE1000_new.uld is correctly placed in the folder.
