This article describes methods to correct for an off-center image on an Elo display.
An off-center image usually means the video signal and the monitor’s scaling/positioning don’t line up. Here’s the step-by-step way to fix it:
1. Try Auto-Adjust in the On-Screen Display (OSD) controls (if available).
Elo monitors connected via VGA have an “Auto” or “Auto Adjust” button in the OSD menu. Pressing it will center the image automatically. See steps in this knowledge article.
2. Try adjusting the image settings in the On-Screen Display (OSD) controls.
Open the monitor’s menu (usually by pressing the Menu button).
Look for Position/Geometry/Image Adjust.
Adjust Horizontal Position and Vertical Position until the picture is centered.
3. Check your resolution and refresh rate.
On Windows: Right-click desktop → Display settings → confirm you’re at the monitor’s native resolution.
Also check Advanced display settings → Refresh rate. Set it to the panel’s rated refresh (often 60Hz, sometimes higher).
A mismatch can cause shifting.
4. Reset the monitor to factory defaults.
In the OSD, look for Reset All/Factory Reset. This clears any incorrect positioning.
See steps for accessing the Factory OSD Menu in this article.
5. Verify cable connection.
Make sure the HDMI/DP/VGA cable is fully seated. A loose connection (especially VGA) can cause off-center or skewed images.
6. For VGA (analog) specifically:
Off-center images are common. Use Auto Adjust or manually tweak phase/clock and position in the OSD.
If possible, switch to HDMI or DisplayPort for a cleaner digital signal.
