This article explains why a "This scanner does not have a valid plug-in available" error is occurring whenever trying to program an SE4107 Elo/Zebra 2D barcode scanner using the 123Scan utility

This bulletin applies to Elo barcode scanners; E245047 and E454318, which are integrated with Zebra's SE4107 scan engine.

• Issue: Customer may encounter errors when attempting to program scanners through Zebra's 123Scan software. Software does not recognize the decode board.

• Reason: newer scanners have an updated decoder board which is not included in the Zebra 123Scan utility. Therefore, the decoder board is not recognized in the software. 
• How to Fix: Elo has received a custom plug-in which must be imported and installed to add support. Please download the new plug-in HERE (also attached to this article).

Steps for installing new plug-in:

1. Download and save the new plugin to a folder.

2. Open the 123Scan software utility, click on Tools in the upper right menu and choose "Import plug-in into 123Scan"

3. Navigate to the folder where the new plug-in has been saved, click on the file, SE4107-CUSTOM ELO BEEPER-C-010.SCNPLG and select Open



4. The plug-in will install and you will receive a message stating: "Your plug-in Imported successfully."
