This article explains where to find the Windows NT v3.1c driver checks
NOTE: Windows NT is no longer supported by Microsoft or Elo Touch Solutions.
Windows NT v3.1c Driver Checks
Confirm the following in Control Panel\Devices:
- MMstub Driver is set for System Startup.
- Mouclass Driver is set for System Startup.
- Monmouse Driver is set for Automatic Startup.
- If any is not set as stated, click the appropriate line, click the Startup box and select the appropriate setting. Reboot after any changes.
Check the Diagnostics tab of the Elo Touchscreen Properties tab set in the Control Panel -
- If there is a green check mark on the Diagnostics tab and no error messages are indicated -
- Check Control Panel, Add/Remove Programs
- If a brand name mouse is shown, try removing it. Then install the touch drivers. The mouse may be re-installed after the touch drivers are installed.
- Check Control Panel, Add/Remove Programs
- If there is a red X on the Diagnostics tab -
- Try running elocal32 (in the \winnt\system32 directory) from NT Explorer. If the touchscreen operates correctly, incomplete handshaking is indicated. The driver will load and function correctly.
- Ignore the indication and any error messages,
- or disable hardware handshaking in the registry.

- Try running elocal32 (in the \winnt\system32 directory) from NT Explorer. If the touchscreen operates correctly, incomplete handshaking is indicated. The driver will load and function correctly.
