This article describes how to set up an Elo touch monitor on a Windows 10 or 11 computer.
(Step-by-Step Guide for Non-Technical Users)
📦 Step 1: Unbox Everything
Remove the monitor, power cable, video cable(s), USB or USB-C cable, and any accessories.
Place the monitor on a flat surface or mount it if needed.
🔌 Step 2: Connect the Power
Plug the included power cable into the monitor and then into a wall outlet.
Press the power button to turn it on (if it doesn’t power on automatically).
🔗 Step 3: Connect to the Computer
✅ Option A: If Your Monitor Has USB-C
-
If your PC has a USB-C port that supports Display and Power Delivery, you only need one USB-C cable:
Plug one end into the monitor’s USB-C port.
Plug the other end into your PC’s USB-C port.
📝 This will:
Provide video (your screen display)
Provide touch functionality
May also power the monitor (on supported models)
⚠️ If You’re Not Sure Your PC Supports This:
Try it—if it doesn’t display anything or touch doesn’t work, use the standard setup below.
✅ Option B: If You’re Using HDMI, DisplayPort, or VGA
Plug the video cable (HDMI, DisplayPort, or VGA) from the monitor to your PC.
-
Plug the USB Type-A to USB Type-B cable into the monitor and then into your PC.
This enables touch input.
Look for a square-ish USB-B port on the monitor (often blue or black inside).
💻 Step 4: Turn On the Computer
Start your computer. Windows 11 should detect the monitor and begin using it right away.
⚙️ Step 5: Adjust Display Settings
Right-click on the desktop → Display settings
Make sure the Elo monitor appears as a connected display.
If you want to make it your main screen, scroll down and click “Make this my main display.”
🖐️ Step 6: Test the Touchscreen
Tap the monitor screen. If it responds, you're good to go.
If not, go to the next step.
🧰 Step 7: Install Elo Touch Drivers (If Needed)
Visit Windows Touch Drivers
Download and install the latest Windows 10/11 touch driver listed.
Restart your computer after installation.
🎯 Step 8: Calibrate Touch (If Needed)
Click Start, type “Calibrate”, and choose “Calibrate the screen for pen or touch input.”
Click Setup and follow the on-screen steps.
If touch feels slightly off, click Calibrate and touch the crosshairs as shown.
✅ Done!
Your Elo touch monitor is now ready. Whether you're using USB-C or the traditional video + USB setup, you can now interact with your screen using touch.
