The below describes the Logitech Mouseware Patch in the Windows NT v3.1c driver.

Logitech Mouseware Patch, Windows NT Driver

Do not attempt to edit the registry unless you are familiar with the regedt32 operation. Making a mistake in regedt32 could result in having to reinstall the operating system.

Run regedt32

Double-click down the path below, except single-click the Global key; this will open the Global key, and you may then double-click PortSearchOrder to view and edit it.  If you do not see these keys, you can close regedt32 and proceed.

          \Logitech
               \MouseWare
                    \CurrentVersion
                         \Global
                           PortSearchOrder

If the touchscreen's COM port is listed in PortSearchOrder, you may edit it as follows:

• Double-click the PortSearchOrder string.
• Highlight the touchscreen's COM port text.
• Delete the touchscreen's COM port text from the PortSearchOrder string.
• Close regedt32 and reboot.
