This article describes how to create a factory image recovery flash drive from an Elo I-Series 3 with Intel AIO System
Tools
- 16GB or larger USB Flash Drive (required)
- Elo I-Series 3 with Intel AIO System with factory installed Operating System (required)
- Physically connected USB mouse and keyboard (optional)
Steps
- These steps can also be found in the I-Series 3 Intel User Manual
1. Power on the Elo AIO and get to the desktop
2. Place the USB flash drive into a USB port on the AIO
3. Right click on the EloRestoreUtility icon and choose "Run as administrator"
- Note: The EloRestoreUtility can also be located in C:\EloTouchSolutions\EloRestoreUtility
4. Choose "Yes" to allow the app to run
5. Click on the drop-down arrow to choose your connected USB flash drive
6. Choose "Start" to begin the process.
- Note the warning: "This will destroy all information on the selected drive"
7. Choose "Continue" to continue the process
- Note again the warning: "This will wipe all the data on the disk, are you sure?"
8. The utility will format the USB flash drive and begin creating the recovery image
9. When the process is complete, the utility will stop and you will see the message: "USB Stick complete with 1 image(s), size 16 Gb" (Note, the size may differ depending on the Operating System that has been copied)
Choose "Close" to close the utility. The process is now complete and you can remove the USB flash drive.
10. In the event the AIO system image ever gets corrupt, you can now restore it to factory settings by using the USB Recovery Flash Drive. This flash drive can also be used to reimage other Elo AIO's of the same model.
