What’s new
This release introduces expanded network controls, enhanced display configuration options, and improved input and app management. New security capabilities include 802.1X authentication and certificate renewal. It also adds USB hub support, local OTA updates, and multiple performance and stability fixes across Elo Android devices.

Important Note - Below are the minimum supported OS versions for devices compatible
with Elo OEMConfig 2.6.14:
- For Android 10 I-Series 4 Standard, Backpack 4 Standard, M50, M50C, Elo Pay M60, Elo Pay M60C: Upgrade to version 5.000.032.0071+p
- For Android 10 I-Series 4 Value, Backpack 4 Value: Upgrade to version 5.000.032.0036+v
- For Android 12 I-Series 4 Standard, Backpack 4 Standard, M50, M50C, Elo Pay M60, Elo Pay M60C: Upgrade to version 5.000.019.0028+p
- For Android 12 I-Series 4 Value, Backpack 4 Value: Upgrade to version 5.000.019.0076+v
- For Android 14 Elo Pay 7 inch, Elo Pay M100: Upgrade to version 6.000.004.0232+7100p
- ForAndroid 14 I-Series 5 Standard, Backpack 5 Standard, M51, M51C: Upgrade to version 7.000.004.0085+gen5p
New and Enhanced Features in 2.6.14
- Display
- Display Timer: Set a timer to control when the display turns on or off.
- Status Bar Control: Enable or disable the status bar.
- Additional Font Sizes (5.0 devices): Added three new font sizes — Extra-Large, XX-Large, and Maximum.
- Input
- Preferred Virtual Keyboard: Configure the device’s preferred virtual keyboard.
- OTA Updates
- Local Path for Manual OTA: Allow use of a local server or file path as the source for manual OTA updates.
- Application Management
- Package Permission Management: Updated setPackageNameAndPermission API for more robust app permission handling.
- Hardware Management
- USB Hub Support: Added parsing and support for new-generation USB hubs in OEMConfig.
- Network
- Bluetooth Scanning: Enable or disable Bluetooth scanning (currently supported only on Elo devices running Android 12; not supported on M100/7-inch Pay or Elo 5.0 devices).
- Wi-Fi Scanning: Enable or disable Wi-Fi scanning.
- 802.1X Support: Added support for secure 802.1X authentication.
- 802.1X Enrollment & Certificate Renewal: Manage certificate enrollment and renewal for 802.1X.
- Bluetooth Scanning is currently supported only on Elo devices running Android 12. Support for additional devices will be added in future releases.
- 802.1X features may require coordination with enterprise IT infrastructure for proper certificate configuration.
- Disabling all USB ports on 5.0 devices running MR-2 or older may also disable Ethernet.
