The key updates in this release include expanded Android 14 device support, new Wi-Fi and MAC randomization network controls, barcode scanner profiles, and additional application and security management capabilities.

Important Note - Elo OEMConfig 2.9 requires Android 12 or higher. Android 10 is no longer supported; devices running Android 10 should remain on Elo OEMConfig 2.6. Below are the minimum OS versions for devices compatible with Elo OEMConfig 2.9:

  • Android 14 Support: Added Android 14 support for I-Series 4, Backpack 4 Standard and Value devices, M50, Elo Pay M60, Elo Pay 22 inch, Elo Pay 7 inch, Elo Pay M100 devices.
  • EloViewHomeSDK 2.0: Introduced support for EloViewHomeSDK 2.0 to modernize the underlying device services for improved reliability and future feature delivery.
• Display
  • Auto-Rotate Control: Enable or disable auto-rotate when screen orientation is set to Auto.
  • Lock After Screen Timeout (M60): Configure the lock timer that starts after the screen times out.
• Network
  • Wi-Fi Frequency Band: Set the Wi-Fi frequency band on M60 and M100, including 6 GHz support on Rigel and M51.
  • MAC Address Randomization: Enable/Disable the randomized MAC address setting.
  • Docked Network Stability (M60): Prevents intermittent Ethernet/Wi-Fi switching while the device is docked.
• Application Management
  • Google Play Store WebView Updates: Enable/Disable Google Play Store WebView updates.
  • Unused Apps Management: Enable or disable hibernation of unused apps.
  • Notification Access: Grant notification access to specified applications.
• Hardware Management
  • Scanner Configurations: Create new barcode scan profiles for M50 and M51.
  • Expanded Dock, Hub & Stand Support: Added support for the Z30 USB-C POS Gen-1 and additional external hubs/stands for 5.0 I-Series devices.
• Bug Fixes and Improvements
  • Resolved an issue where safe-media disable did not work correctly on Android 14 Gen 5 devices.
  • Resolved an issue where the application crashed when no MDM assignment group was available.

  • 6 GHz Wi-Fi band selection is available only on supported hardware (5.0 devices and M51).
