How do I enable Touch_MouseMode with the Elo Multi-Touch Driver?
This article explains how to enable Touch_MouseMode when installing the Elo multi-touch driver. When enabled, the touchscreen behaves as a standard mouse device rather than a tablet input device.
Procedure
1. Remove existing drivers
Uninstall any Elo drivers currently installed on the system.
2. Download the Elo Multi-Touch Driver
Download the Elo multi-touch driver and save it to a local folder on the computer.
❗ Do Not Execute Driver Yet!3. Extract the driver files
Rename the downloaded file extension from
.exeto.zip.Right-click the renamed file and select Extract All.
Choose an extraction location and click Extract.
4. Modify the driver configuration
Open the Common folder.
Open the
EloOptions.inifile.Scroll to [Setup Options] and change Touch_MouseMode = 0 to Touch_MouseMode = 1.
⚠️ Note: In Elo driver versions prior to v9.0.0, this setting was referred to as ForceMouse.Click File > Save, then close the file.
5. Install the driver
- Navigate back to the extracted driver folder.
Double-click Setup.exe to launch the installer.
Accept the license agreement and complete the installation.
Result
After installation, the touchscreen operates in single-touch mouse mode, emulating standard mouse behavior instead of tablet input.
