This article explains how to tell which touch technology the customer has based upon the Elo model number
See the information below for how to determine the touch technology type on Elo products based off the model number.
The monitors touch technology type is indicated by the number immediately following the first dash (-) in the model number. In the following example (ET1502L-2UWA-1-G) the number โ2โ that is right after the first dash indicates it is PCAP technology โ see below for touch technology types.
0 = Null (No touch)
1 = Projective Capacitive, Direct Touch (rarely ever see this one)
2 = Projective Capacitive, Through Glass (most common)
3 = Surface Capacitive
4 = iTouch (IntelliTouch or SAW Surface Acoustic Wave)
5 = ZeroBezel CarrollTouch (ZBCT โ Infrared technology with no bezel โ very rare)
6 = SecureTouch (thick strengthened glass IntelliTouch or SAW Surface Acoustic Wave)
7 = AccuTouch (5-wire resistive)
8 = IntelliTouch (SAW Surface Acoustic Wave)
9 = CarrollTouch (IR or Infrared)
A = Acoustic Pulse Recognition (APR or Pulse Touch)
B = ZBAT (Accutouch Zero-Bezel)
C = Optical Touch (Camera based)
D = tbd
E = Enhanced AccuTouch
