This article explains if a user's monitor will work without installing an Elo touch driver

On most current Elo touchmonitors and touchcomputers it is not necessary to install the Elo touch driver as long as your computer has an operating system that is HID compliant and supports Pen & Touch. 

Our PCAP and IR products are completely HID compliant and typically do not require a touchdriver to be installed unless multiple monitors are being used on one system or if special setups are needed. 

Our IntelliTouch and AccuTouch products may require a touch driver to be aligned correctly.
