How to Enable Multi-Touch Support in Windows 7
This article details how to activate Windows Multi-Touch support in Windows 7. To run multi-touch applications using a Multi-Touch driver from Elo — Now part of Zebra Technologies, you must ensure that the native Windows Tablet PC components are enabled.
Enabling Windows 7 Tablet PC Components
- Open the Start menu and select Control Panel.
- In the Control Panel window, change the view setting by selecting Category from the View by drop-down menu in the upper-right corner.
Click on Programs, and then select Turn Windows features on or off.
Note: The Windows Features dialog box will appear. Depending on your system security configurations, you may be prompted to provide an administrator password or confirmation to proceed.- Scroll down the list of features and check the box next to Tablet PC Components.
- Click OK to apply the changes. Windows will configure the components, which may take a few moments.
