This articles lists the guidelines for safely using Ethyl to clean Elo products

It is safe to use Ethyl in concentrates below 35% to clean the outside surfaces of Elo products (glass, plastics, bezel, housing, etc. However, do not use Ethyl to clean electrical connections or touch sensors outside of a housing. Ethyl can leave behind small traces of oil which can damage and/or cause electrical connections to fail.
