This article explains what to do when users have an embedded system and are unable to add a driver
Some customers have computers they cannot add drivers to, such as an embedded system, and when they connect a touchmonitor the touch will be backwards or "mirrored." See below for a possible work-around:
NOTE: This work-around only applies to Elo's IntelliTouch Surface Acoustic Wave (SAW) products.
1. Connect the IntelliTouch monitor to a standard Windows 7, 8, 8.1, 10, or 11 computer which allows drivers to be installed.
2. Install the latest Elo multi-touch driver (currently version 9.0.1)
3. When it comes time to calibrate (align) the monitor, do not touch on the targets where they appear but instead touch in the opposite position on the screen, see below:
- When first target appears in upper left, touch the upper right
- When second target appears in lower left, touch lower right
- When third target appears in upper right, touch upper left
- Touch the accept button
- The calibration values are now stored in the touch controller and the monitor should now be aligned backwards
- Remove the monitor from that computer and connect it to the embedded system and see if the touch is now aligned as expected.
