This article explains that the memory (RAM) is upgradable on the ECMG2 and ECMG3 IDS computer modules, and the types are listed below

• ECMG2 computer modules were expandable to a Maximum* of 16 GB (DDR3L-1333Mhz SO-DIMM per slot)
  • *Maximum memory using 2 slots. (8GB on each slot)
• ECMG3 computer modules were expandable to a Maximum* of 32 GB (DDR4-2400Mhz SO-DIMM on 1 of 2 slots)
  • *Maximum memory using 2 slots. (16GB on each slot)

Attached is a guide for replacing RAM in the ECMG2; however, the steps are the same for both models. 

Note: The ECMG2/ECMG3 are intended to be field upgradable. Upgrading RAM will not void the warranty unless damage is done to the producg during the process.
