This article addresses Elo compatibility with Dell Wyse Thin Client devices.
Thin Clients are equipped with proprietary Operating Systems which are referred to as "embedded" or "locked down." These systems must have touchscreen support already built into the image to work with a touchscreen.
Typically the User's Guide of the thin client will list touchscreen requirements and/or compatibility and how to set them up. An example of this can be seen in the Dell Wyse ThinOS Version 8.5 Administrator’s Guide HERE
Some thin client manufacturers build in support for specific touch screen models; for example, the HP t5145 specifically calls out the Elo 1529L in the Specifications listed HERE
Some thin clients can operate touchscreens through USB HID which does not require any touch drivers. On those systems you would need to use one of Elo's PCAP or IR equipped touchmonitors which are fully HID compliant.
Elo does not have a list of compatible thin clients, please contact the thin client manufacturer for compatibility questions and requirements for touchscreens.
