This article explains how to use EloDriverDefaults to Pre-Calibrate my Elo monitors
A command line utility, EloDriverDefaults, is available to write the existing Elo driver settings to a file. The file may then be copied to a new system and the utility ran to copy the settings from the file to the registry on the new system. A system reboot then makes the new system’s touch settings the same as the parent system’s touch settings. This procedure refers to the Elo Single-Touch driver version 5.8.2. A .pdf copy of this procedure is also attached to this Knowledge Article in the Files section.
• elodriverdefaults.exe is the utility
• elooptions.ini is the Elo options file
Overview
The utility is executed with the following three options:
-c copies the existing driver settings to the registry
-r reads the registry settings and writes them to the elooptions.ini file
-w writes the file settings to the registry on the target system
• Note: “Apply” or “OK” does not copy the Elo Control Panel changes to the registry – you must execute the utility with the –c flag to update the registry
• The Elo touch version 5.8.2 driver must be installed on the original and target systems.
• The utility must be ran from an Admin command line; it will not execute properly in the Windows environment. This procedure assume you know how to use a Windows Command Prompt.
• The utility must be ran from the directory where the driver files reside.
Procedure
1. Install the Elo Single-Touch 5.8.2 driver onto the original (or parent) and target systems
2. Use the Elo Control Panel to calibrate and configure the driver settings/options as desired. Be sure to apply the settings with the Apply or OK buttons.
a) Open an Admin Windows Command Prompt: Press Windows+R on keyboard to open the Run box
b) Type cmd in the text box and press Ctrl+Shift+Enter on keyboard to run it with admin privileges.
c) A Windows Command line window should open:

To import the copied settings to target computers:
Make sure the Elo 5.8.2 driver is installed on the target system (when installing on the target systems, uncheck “Calibrate Elo Monitors” when prompted.)
1. Navigate to the location of the drivers: C:\Program Files\Elo Touch Solutions
2. Replace the default eloptions.ini file with the one you saved.
3. Open an Admin cmd prompt and execute the command to write the settings to the registry: Elodriverdefaults –w
4. Restart the computer
5. Connect any identical Elo Touch Solutions monitor to the system and it will automatically be aligned without any user interaction.
