This article provides more information on the 53-Series IDS monitors built-in thermal sensors

Elo's ET5553L and ET6553L Digital Signage Monitors are equipped with a built-in thermal sensor.
You can enter the monitor's OSD menu, go to the Information section to view monitor temperatures.

• The temperature sensor is able to auto force the monitor to shut down if operated above the Operating Temperature range.
• There will be a warning on screen when the monitor is turned back on again stating that the monitor was turned off automatically due to excessive heat.
• The temperature sensor will be able to auto dim the monitor’s brightness if operated close to the Max Operating Temperature range.
• There will be a warning on screen if monitor’s brightness is auto dimmed due to operating close to the Max Operating Temperature range.

• Portrait/Landscape/Tilt (≤15°) Mode: 0°C to 40°C / 32°F to 104°F
• Tabletop Mode: 0° C to 35° C / 32° F to 95° F

6553L Operating Temperature
