How to Manually Remove an Elo Driver from Add/Remove Programs
On rare occasions, an Elo — Now part of Zebra Technologies driver may continue to appear in the Windows Add/Remove Programs list even after the software has been uninstalled. If standard attempts to uninstall the driver fail, you can manually remove the residual entry by following the steps below.
Critical Warning: Do not attempt to edit the Windows Registry unless you are familiar with the Registry Editor. Making a mistake or deleting the wrong keys can cause severe system instability or failure.
Manual Registry Removal Steps
- Click Start, select Run, type
regeditinto the Open box, and press Enter to launch the Registry Editor. Locate and expand the following registry key path:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall- Within the
Uninstalldirectory, locate and right-click any subkey named Elo, then select Delete. - Close the Registry Editor and Restart your computer.
- Open Add/Remove Programs (or Apps & features) to verify that the ghost driver entry has been successfully removed from the system.
