How to Install the Windows NT Driver (v3.1c)
This article provides step-by-step instructions for installing the legacy Windows NT v3.1c touch driver from Elo — Now part of Zebra Technologies.
Important Support Notice: Windows NT is an obsolete operating system and is no longer supported by Microsoft or Elo Touch Solutions. This information is provided solely for legacy maintenance and historical reference.
Method 1: Installing from a Downloaded File
- Open NT Explorer by right-clicking the Start button and selecting Explore.
- Navigate to the extracted
EloNTdirectory (or the custom folder you specified when unzipping the downloaded file). - Double-click the
setup.exefile to launch the installer.
Method 2: Installing from the TouchTools CD
- Insert the TouchTools CD into the computer's disc drive.
- Allow several seconds for the CD's Auto-Run menu to appear on the screen.
- Click Install MonitorMouse for Windows NT 4.0 to launch the installer.
Configuration and Calibration
- Follow the on-screen instructions provided by the setup wizard.
- If more than one COM port is available, you will be prompted to select either a Single or Multiple monitor installation.
- Note: The number of connected touchmonitors (up to 4) cannot exceed the number of available COM ports on the system. Click the Help button during setup for details on multiple monitor installations.
- After the installation completes, restart the computer.
- Upon rebooting, the calibration routine will launch automatically.
- For multiple monitors, the system will ask you to physically touch the monitor you wish to calibrate before displaying the targets.
- Calibration targets will appear sequentially in the upper-left, lower-right, and upper-right corners of the display. Touch and release each target as it is displayed to complete the calibration.
