This article explains how to calibrate my monitor without an Elo driver
This article describes how to calibrate an Elo HID monitor through Windows instead of using an Elo driver. This method will work on Windows 7, 8, 8.1, 10, and 11 Operating systems.
1. Uninstall any Elo touch drivers that may be on the system.
- Important Note: If using Tabcal, do not install an Elo driver as the two different calibration settings will conflict and cause touch not to work properly.
2. Run Tabcal - there are two methods for doing this:
- Method 1: Click on the Windows search feature and enter: tabcal
- Method 2: Open an Admin Command Pompt or Admin Windows PowerShell and enter: tabcal.exe
3. Both the above methods will then launch the Windows Tabcal program. A window will open with two blue border frames. Follow the directions provided by the program by touching and releasing each crosshair as it appears on the screen.
5. When calibration is completed choose Yes to save the calibration data or No to discard.
How to clear saved calibration.
1. To clear the saved calibration data, open an Admin Command Pompt or Admin Windows PowerShell, and enter: tabcal.exe ClearCal DisplayID=\\.\DISPLAY1
- A dialog box will appear when completed stating, "Calibration data was successfully removed." choose OK to finish and close.
