This article provides directions for installing the Elo multi-touch driver on a Windows computer
The below steps describe how to install the Elo Multi Touch driver in a Windows 7, 8, 8.1, 10, 11 environment. This driver can be used on ALL Elo touch technologies.
If an Elo touch driver is already installed on the system, you must remove it before installing the new driver. Go to Add or Remove Programs and uninstall the Elo driver from there.
Driver Installation Steps
1. Download the Elo Multi-Touch driver from the Elo website (currently version 9.0.0) and save to a location on your computer:
2. Go to the location where you saved the driver, right-click on the driver file and choose Run as administrator.
3. Choose Unzip to begin unzipping the driver files.
4. When all files are unzipped, you will see the successful message, choose OK
5. Read the End-User License Agreement, then choose I Accept the License Agreement to continue.
6. Setup will automatically begin installing for all connected touch monitors. You may see a few CMD prompt screens briefly flash on the screen, this is normal and is part of the driver installation.
7. When all driver files are completed you will receive the Setup is complete message. Choose OK.
8. To calibrate the touch monitor, go to your desktop and double click on the EloConfig icon.
a. Alternatively, you can access the EloConfig utility in the following path: C:\Programs\Elo Touch Solutions/EloConfig
9. Click on the Calibrate button.
10. Using finger, touch the center of the target in the upper left-hand corner of screen, then touch the lower right-hand corner target and lastly, touch the upper right-hand corner.
b. Click on the Accept button if accurate.
c. Click on the Retry button if inaccurate and try again.
NOTE: If calibration is being performed on PCAP or IR technologies, there will only be one target in the upper left-hand corner and none in the other corners.
d. The touchscreen is now calibrated and you can close the EloConfig utility.
