How to Install and Calibrate the Elo Multi-Touch Driver on Windows

This article provides step-by-step instructions for installing and calibrating the Elo Multi-Touch Driver on Windows operating systems (Windows 7, 8, 8.1, 10, and 11). This driver package supports all Elo touchscreen technologies (PCAP, IR, SAW, Resistive, and Optical).

Step-by-Step Driver Installation

1. Download Driver: Download the latest Elo Multi-Touch Driver from the official Elo Support website and save the installer to your local drive.

   

2. Run as Administrator: Locate the downloaded setup file, right-click it, and select Run as administrator. 

   

3. Click OK to proceed through the extraction prompt.

   

4. Click Setup to extract the driver package files.

   

5. Review the End-User License Agreement (EULA), then select I Accept the License Agreement to continue.

   

6. Setup will automatically install components for all detected touchmonitors. (Note: Command prompt windows may briefly appear during device registration; this is normal operation.)

   

7. When installation finishes, click OK on the Setup is complete dialog.

   

Calibrating the Touchscreen (EloConfig)

8. Launch EloConfig by double-clicking the shortcut on your desktop, or navigate directly to C:\Program Files\Elo Touch Solutions\EloConfig.exe. 

   

9. In the main EloConfig window, click the Calibrate button.

   

10. Complete Calibration Targets:

    • Resistive & SAW Screens: Touch the center of the target in the upper-left corner, then the lower-right corner, and finally the upper-right corner.
    • PCAP & IR Screens: Touch the single target displayed in the upper-left corner.
    • Verify Alignment: Drag your finger across the screen to confirm the cursor precisely follows your touch. Click Accept to save or Retry if realignment is required.

    

11. Close the EloConfig control panel. Touch calibration is complete and active.
