PCAP Touch Controller Firmware Update for 3243L Monitors
This article provides step-by-step instructions for updating the Projected Capacitive (PCAP) touch controller firmware on 3243L monitors from Elo — Now part of Zebra Technologies.
Warning: Ensure the monitor's power connection remains stable throughout the update process. Interrupting power or disconnecting cables while flashing the firmware can permanently damage the touch controller.
Touch Controller Update Procedure
- Download the latest firmware and update utility package: PCFG0046_v01_02.H100 Firmware Update Package.
- Unzip the downloaded firmware update package to a dedicated directory on your computer.

Navigate to the unzipped folder and Execute the eGalaxUpdate2 application utility.
Note: Upon execution, the utility will automatically scan, identify, and display the details under Current Controller. - Click on Load Image and select the firmware image file: PCFG0046_v01_02.H100.
The system will populate and display the details of the selected firmware on the right side of the window. - Select Go (or Load Image OK) to begin flashing the touch controller.
- After the firmware update successfully completes, exit the utility, disconnect the power cable from the monitor, wait 10 seconds, and reconnect power to reboot the controller.
