This article explains how to fix the 'You do not have permission to open this file' error when opening the EloOptions.ini file

Some customers have reported receiving an error when trying to save changes to the EloOptions.ini file.

The reported error is: C:\Program Files\Elo Touch Solutions\EloOptions.ini You do not have permission to open this file. See the owner of the file or an administrator to obtain permission.



To correct for this error:
1. Copy the original EloOptions.ini file to your desktop.

2. Make desired changes to the file and save it.

3. Drag or Copy the newly saved file to the Elo Touch Solutions folder and it should then overwrite the old EloOptions.ini file.
