This articles explains how to update the BIOS on I-Series 2.0 with Windows computers
To update (Flash) the BIOS firmware on your Elo I-Series 2.0 with Windows computer, follow the below steps.
1. Startup computer and enter the BIOS by touching the SETUP icon in the upper right corner of the screen, or by tapping DEL on a connected keyboard.
2. Go to the MAIN tab and check your current BIOS version to ensure you are updating with the correct firmware.
3. Go to the BOOT tab and change Update System BIOS from Disabled to Enabled
4. Go to the Save & Exit tab and choose Save Changes and Exit
5. Download the latest BIOS Firmware file from the Elo website. Save and extract to a location on the computer.
- IMPORTANT NOTE: Make certain to only download and run the correct firmware file on your Elo system. Running the wrong FW can damage your system. If you are unsure which FW to choose, please contact Elo Support for proper selection.
6. Open the folder and double click the UPDATE batch file to begin the FW update process.
7. You may receive the below dialog. Choose YES to continue with installing the update.
8. The BIOS Firmware Update will begin running in a CMD window. This process should only take a minute or two. Do not interrupt the process. When it is completed, the CMD window will close.
9. When update completes, restart computer and go back into BIOS and check that the BIOS version is updated.
10. Go to the Save & Exit tab and click on Restore Defaults. Choose Yes when prompted.
11. Click on Save Changes and Exit. Choose Yes when prompted.
12. The BIOS update is now complete.
