This article provides information in regards to the sound (audio) settings on Elo's legacy 01 and 02-Series IDS monitors.
This applies to the following Elo IDS monitors: 3201L, 4201L, 5501L, 7001L, 7001LT, 3202L, 4202L, 4602L, 5502L
Audio
Audio from the touchmonitor Line In, touchmonitor HDMI, touchmonitor DisplayPort, computer module Line In, or computer module HDMI or DisplayPort ports can be played over the touchmonitors internal speakers. See the “Audio Source” OSD parameter for details. When headphones are plugged into the headphone output jack, the internal speakers turn off and audio is played over the headphones. Volume and muting of the speaker and headphone outputs are controlled by the OSD.
Audio Adjustments through the OSD
*The hot key allows the user to quickly change the input video source. If the user accidently presses this key, they can quickly press the Menu button to cancel a video source change.
Using the OSD buttons controls an on-screen graphical user interface which displays on top of your input video, allowing intuitive adjustment of the following display parameters:
Audio Select
- Allows the user to choose the audio source. The choices are From Video Source, Line in and ECM Line-in (available only if an ECM is detected)
- If there is no Computer Module plugged in, and the video source is HDMI, the options are: Line In and HDMI.
- Default: Video Source.
Mute
- Allows the user to enable or disable the sound on the touchmonitor.
Volume
- Allows the user to change the volume level on the touchmonitor
Troubleshooting
If you are not receiving audio through the monitor's speakers, check the following:
- Is something plugged into the Headphone Output connection on the monitor? If so, unplug it.
- Are the speakers muted? Go into the OSD menu and navigate to the Audio Settings section and check the Mute settings.
- Is the Volume adjusted correctly? Go into the OSD menu and navigate to the Audio Settings section and check the Volume settings.
-
Is the correct Audio Source enabled? Go into the OSD menu and navigate to the Audio Settings section and check the Audio Select settings and set source to the appropriate source.
- If you are using an Elo ECM computer module, ECM Line In should be selected as the source.
