This article addresses the RTC battery which is integrated into Elo IDS monitors.

Elo's large format IDS monitors which are equipped with a Real Time Clock (RTC), are integrated with a CR2032 Lithium Ion coin type battery. 

• If the battery fails and the monitor is disconnected from AC power, the RTC settings will be lost when AC power is restored, but the monitor will continue functioning with no other issues.
• If the battery fails and the monitor remains connected to an AC power source, the RTC will continue to work using 3.3v of power from the AC connection.

The CR2032 battery cannot be replaced in the field as it is mounted to the main internal circuit board of the monitor and complete dissasembly is required to replace it.
