This article steps you through coniguring the M60 barcode scanner
The Zebra Scanner Control app enables control of the M60 built-in scanner.
It allows you to:
- Set imaging settings
- Enable/disable symbologies
- Display scanned barcode data
Zebra Scanner Control is not compatible with M50.
To install app on non-developer devices, please get in touch with customer support for assistance whitelisting or signing the app.
Instructions:
- Configure the M60 scanner in SNAPI mode and enable handshaking by scanning the two configuration barcodes below.
- To download Zebra’s Android SDK, please visit https://www.zebra.com/us/en/support-downloads/software/developer-tools/scanner-sdk-for-android.html
- Download Android_ScannerSDK_v2.6.13.0.zip
- Use ADB.exe Install command to sideload scanner_control_app_v2.6.13.0-release.apk into the device.
- Launch the Scanner Control app.
- Click OK to Allow Scanner Control access.
- Click Continue to accept Scan-To-Config notice.
- Click the three lines “hamburger” to access the menu.
- Select Available Device List.
- Select the USB scanner.
With the sample app, you can trigger a scan, look up asset information, view scanned data, and more. This app does not support controlling Beeper and LED.
