This article describes methods to disable CEC function control on an Elo monitor.

Most current Elo monitors have CEC capabilities. CEC is transmimtted through Pin 13 of the HDMI connector. Some customers wish to disable this functionality. 


To remove the CEC signal from Pin-13 on the HDMI connector some customer use a HDMI CEC Less Adapter between the HDMI cable and the monitor or computer.
 
The Lindy HDMI CEC Less Adapter (url valid at time of this writing) was internally tested to perform this function.
