This article addresses an issue with some customers experiencing a black menu box appearing on their Elo 5553L and 6553L Digital Display monitors.

The black menu box is called the Debug Mode menu. Instructions to enter and exit the debug menu may be found below. 

• Using the monitor buttons: When the monitor is off, holding down the Video Button and pressing the Power Button at the same time displays the Debug Mode menu.

or

• Using the OSD remote: When the monitor is off, holding down the Menu Button and pressing the Power Button at the same time displays the Debug Mode menu.

During the debug mode:
1. Remove OOR message. Keep showing the parameters on the OSD during the monitor display. All key functions are disabled except “Power” key. Parameters: OOR status, Mode Index, Timing, H/V Total, H/V frequency, H/V sync polar, H/V position, Pixel Clock. Active video source must be displayed or show none detected.

2. Elo splash screen is off.
