This article addresses an intermittent issue with the BackPack 4.0 where the device fails to power back on after entering sleep mode
Intermittently, we receive feedback from customers regarding the BackPack 4 device, indicating an inability to power back on subsequent to being in sleep mode. The primary culprit behind this issue is often identified as the HDMI CEC settings on the connected display.
To remedy this situation, we recommend deactivating the HDMI CEC feature on the display unit. Alternatively, employing an HDMI CEC Blocker, such as the Lindy HDMI CEC Less Adapter, can effectively address this concern.
Certain third-party monitors offer the option to disable or turn off HDMI CEC settings. Below are some exemplars for reference:

More information about HDMI CEC
HDMI CEC, which stands for HDMI Consumer Electronics Control, is a feature integrated into HDMI-compatible devices to facilitate simplified control and communication between multiple devices connected via HDMI cables. This technology enables users to control multiple HDMI-connected devices using a single remote control, streamlining the user experience.
With HDMI CEC, commands sent from one device, such as a television or a home theater system, can be communicated to other connected devices, such as Blu-ray players, gaming consoles, or soundbars. Common functions controlled through HDMI CEC include power on/off, input switching, volume control, and playback functions.
Although HDMI CEC can enhance convenience by allowing for seamless device control, it can sometimes lead to compatibility issues or unintended behavior, such as the reported issue of devices failing to power back on after being in sleep mode. In such cases, disabling HDMI CEC on the affected devices or utilizing HDMI CEC Block adapters may be necessary to resolve the issue.
